Camogli
Camogli takes its name from the small coastal town on the Ligurian coast of Italy. Painted in September, it reflects that brief transition when autumn begins to gain color and the atmosphere shifts toward warmer, deeper tones.
The painting is expressive and densely layered, with vivid passages of pink, red, orange, blue and green moving across the canvas. Its scale gives the work presence from a distance, while the smaller gestures and fragments of color continue to emerge up close.
